AVX has expanded its offering of multi-layer ceramic capacitors to provide high capacitance values at temperatures of up to 150°C. The X8L Series high temperature MLCC range has an elevated capacitance performance at a temperature range to accommodate applications in harsh environments.

Capacitors in the X8L Series features excellent low-loss performance and temperature stability. These products have a variation of ±15% between -55°C to 125°C and 15%/-40% from +125°C to 150°C. Absolute capacitance will vary with temperature. For example, at ambient temperature 25°C, X8L capacitors deliver CV of 0.47µF/25 V in 0805 packages; a comparable X8R device is rated at 0.22µF/25 V. The X8L Series also extends the voltage availability from 50 V (X8R) to 100 V.
