Schurter’s vandal-proof metal pushbutton switch with latching action now offers point illumination in addition to the ring illuminated types. The series is available in double-pole or the newly added single-pole version. Its attractive new design also offers an actuator with increased actuating travel of greater than 5 mm.

Available in red, green or blue illumination, the MSM LA is excellent for applications in dimly lit areas and for indicating a switch's ON/OFF status. Switching voltages are tested up to 125 VDC / 250 VAC. The resting position of the actuator also indicates switching status, visually and by touch. In the OFF state, the actuator position protrudes from the housing; in the ON state, it is depressed into the housing. This provides a user-friendly actuating function and also prevents inadvertent switching that may be caused by objects leaning on the switch. In addition to physical and visual indicators, the MSM LA may be used in conjunction with audible devices, thereby meeting various feedback requirements of the ADA.
