The very popular FH12 series from Hirose is a 0.5 mm or 1 mm pitch FPC / FFC connector. This connector is available in a wide range of positions, from 6 to 60. It features three different contact types: bottom, top, and vertical-contact. Board area under the connector is available for PCB patterning. The FH12 has a one-touch ZIF rotating mechanism that locks the cable into place with a clear tactile click. This series is available in many varieties: FH12 (bottom contact), FH12A (top contact) and FH12S (bottom contact, strengthen actuator).
