C&K's HDP Series switches measure just 5.7 mm x 8.35 mm in the "free" position and feature a very-low-profile height of 1.9 mm off the board. With an operating life of 100,000 cycles, these robust switches are ideal for consumer electronics, computers, medical devices, mobile communications, and ATCA/MicroTCA applications.

The HDP Series devices are halogen-free, side-actuated, surface mount detect switches with two color-coded options to distinguish between the right- and left-hand actuation styles. The right-hand version features a black actuator body, and the left-hand version is gray. Contacts are rated for 1 mA / 5 V_DC with a contact resistance of less than 500 mΩ. The switch’s total travel distance is 1.3 mm, and the operating temperature range is -20°C to 70°C.
