Hirose Electric is proud to introduce the DF63 series to our line-up of wire-to-board connectors. This series has a 3.96 mm pitch and boasts a small size of an 88 mm² mounting area, which is 30% smaller than comparable connectors from other manufactures. The DF63 features high reliability and multiple contacts. Its unique mating mechanism ensures a secure lock with a tactile click and improves operations. Lock strength is 35 N/min. The DF63 series can be mounted in three configurations: vertical, straight, and in-line. A guide post on the header prevents incorrect placement to the PCB, so mounting errors are eliminated. Even with its small size, the DF63 accepts potting up to 5 mm high. The bottom of the housing is tapered and helps the resin to surround the contacts.
