CUI's SDI50-U and SDI65-U desktop adapter series with 50 W and 65 W of power meet the stringent average efficiency and no-load power requirements mandated by the US Department of Energy (DoE) Level VI standards. The series are also compliant with the European Union’s proposed CoC Tier 2 directive, which decreases the no-load power requirement to < 0.15 W. These required and proposed laws have implications for any OEM that designs products with an external AC-DC power supply for the US and European markets.

The power supplies feature a wide universal input voltage range of 90 V_AC to 264 V_AC and are available in single output voltages of 9, 12, 15, 18, 19, 24, and 48 V_DC depending on the series. Offering UL/cUL, GS, and PSE safety approvals and meeting the radiated and conducted emission requirements for FCC Part 15B Class B, the SDI50-U and SDI65-U are designed for global applications. Both series are housed in compact packages measuring 4.52 x 2.08 x 1.50 in (115 x 53 x 38 mm) with an IEC320/C14 AC inlet. Additional features include over-voltage, over-current, and short-circuit protections.
