BD4xx and BD7xx Series Regulators

ROHM's new low quiescent (lq) current regulators feature a rated voltage of 50 V, 200/500 mA output current and an output voltage accuracy of ±2%. In order to provide the best solution for each application, ROHM offers two new series of products:

-The BD4xx series offers compatible devices with a good selection of standard packages and a low Iq of 40 µA (Typ.)

-The BD7xx series offers ultra-low current consumption with an Iq of only 6 µA (Typ.)

Both families are ideal for applications requiring a direct connection to the battery and low current consumption. Ceramic capacitors can be used for compensation of the output capacitor phase. Furthermore, these ICs also feature over-current protection to protect the device from damage caused by short-circuiting and an integrated thermal shutdown to protect the device from overheating at overload conditions.
