Surface-Mount Circular Connectors and Housing Shel

The trend toward surface-mount devices has been growing exceedingly stronger in recent years. The SMT production process allows for fast and economical manufacturing of the PCBs with uniform and fully automated mounting and soldering of all components. Phoenix Contact's addition of two-piece M8 and M12 SMD device connectors supplements the existing THR range in terms of reflow-capable PCB connectors. The SMD connectors are designed for PCBs that can be equipped on both sides and do not have via holes for the connection pins.

The M8 and M12 housing screw connection systems make it possible to combine two-piece M8 and M12 connectors for reflow processes. Rear mounting ensures a defined positioning of the printed-circuit board to the device housing.
