VLMU3500-385-060 and VLMU385-120 UV LEDS

Vishay introduces the first two devices in their series of ceramic-based, high-power UV LEDs with silicone lenses. Designed to provide a reliable, energy-saving replacement for mercury lamps, Vishay Semiconductor's VLMU3500-385-060 and VLMU3500-385-120 deliver exceptionally long lifetimes in compact 3.5 mm by 3.5 mm surface-mount packages for medical, industrial, and printing applications.

  • Silicone lenses enable lifetimes five times higher than that of typical mercury lamps
  • Environmentally friendly and free of heavy metals
  • Shock resistance and immunity to degradation from frequent on / off switching provide increased reliability
  • Allows for the use of simple low-voltage circuitry and requires no warm-up period, as opposed to mercury lamps which require complex drive circuits and need 2 to 15 minutes to warm up
  • Built on InGaN technology
  • Extremely long lifetimes
  • Compact 3.5 mm by 3.5 mm surface-mount packages
  • Feature typical radiant power of 780 mW at 500 mA and 1037 mW at 700 mA
  • Emission angles up to 120°
  • Radiant intensity to 730 mW/sr at 700 mA
  • RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green
  • Compatible with reflow soldering processes
  • Moisture sensitivity level of 2 in accordance with J-STD-020
