The PTS830 series, SMT, top-actuated switches deliver reliable switching performance for wearable electronics, portable wireless devices, remote controls, and keyless-entry systems. C&K's series of micro miniature, SMT, top-actuated switches that provide low profile, high-actuation force (450gf), and high life cycle (500,000) solutions are especially designed to meet the demanding size and performance specifications required of portable electronic devices. With its 3.5 mm x 2.6 mm footprint and an ultra-low profile of 1.4 mm, the PTS830 series SMT switches deliver reliable switching performance within the space constraints imposed by the miniaturization of next-generation wearable electronic devices, portable wireless devices, remote controls, and keyless entry systems. The PTS830 series SMT switches are top-actuated, momentary action devices with a single pull single throw (SPST), normally open configuration. Rated for 12 V_DC and 50 mA, the switches are available with actuation force options of 160 gf and 450 gf, and with operating life cycles of 200,000 and 500,000. Travel distance is 0.15 mm ±0.1 mm, with a typical bounce time of less than or equal to 10ms, and rated operating temperatures for the series span -40°C to 85°C.
