HL8528 Embedded Wireless Modules

Designed as a part of Sierra Wireless’ Airprime® HL series from the essential connectivity module family, the HL8528 is an industrial grade embedded wireless modules providing dual-band UMTS as well as dual-band GSM capabilities. This allows for access to HSPA+ along with fallback to GPRS networks. The smallest module sharing a common form factor across all current generations of cellular connectivity, the HL series makes it possible for device manufacturers to include voice and data connectivity into their application with just one PCB design.

With the HL series consistent form factor, the HL8528 enables forward and backward compatibility between 2G, 3G, and 4G modules. These form factors also offer the ability to both solder down the module or using a snap-in socket. These open up the potential of efficient high-level production, flexible prototyping, or smaller volume runs. Combine this all with industrial rating, carrier precertification, and all the fall back options the HL8528 is designed to keep the application connected.
