MT Series Current Sensing Resistors

Low value resistors can be used to sense when the current is too high so that measures can be taken upstream before the excess current causes damage. Metal elements have a very low inductance and good response to fast rise-time transients. They are also known for their good surge-handling capabilities. Riedon's MT series is available from 1 W to 10 W with 1% and 5% tolerance as standard. TCRs range from ±20 ppm/°C to ±180 ppm/°C and resistance values range from 0.003 Ω to 0.2 Ω. Applications for the MT series include instrumentation, audio equipment, automotive current sensing circuits, switching and linear power supplies, access control, regulators, and power amplifiers.
