The XR77103-A0R5 and XR77103-A1R0 from Exar are 3-output, synchronous buck regulators with an input-voltage range of 4.5 V to 14 V. Both high-side and low-side MOSFETs are integrated to provide a low component count, highly efficient solution. Both have a 1% accurate, 0.8 V feedback making them appropriate for powering FPGA and SoC core rails. The A0R5 operates at 500 kHz, and the A1R0 at 1 MHz, to offer a choice of solution size versus efficiency.
The XR77103-A0R5 and XR77103-A1R0 feature three 2 A, synchronous, high-efficiency buck regulators with integrated power switches. They can operate in 5 V, 9 V, and 12 V powered systems with minimal required external components, thus providing the smallest size solution possible. Two of the outputs may be paralleled for output currents up to 5 A peak with steady-state current up to 4 A.
The output voltage of each converter can be adjusted by an external resistor divider down to voltage as low as 0.8 V. With a nominal switching frequency of 1 MHz, the regulators can also be synchronized to an external clock in applications where EMI control is critical.
