Sprague Goodman’s SGC3 series are miniature and ultra-thin, surface-mount trimmers that measure only 3.2 x 4.5 mm with a height of 1.5 mm. They are recommended for miniaturization of electronic equipment. The plastic is a high-temperature, liquid-crystal polymer with low dielectric loss and excellent mechanical strength. Five capacitance ranges are offered: 1.8 to 4.5 pF, 2.0 to 6.0 pF, 3.0 to 20 pF, 5.5 to 20.0 pF, and 8.0 to 30 pF. Q is 500 minimum at 1 MHz. Temperature coefficient of capacitance ranges from NPO ±500 ppm/°C to N1200 ±500 ppm/°C, depending on model number. Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C. Voltage rating is 500 V_DC, and dielectric withstanding voltage is 1000 V_DC. Insulation resistance is 104 MΩ minimum. Tuning torque is 0.14 - 1.0 oz-in.
