Diodes' AH337x and AH338x are a high-voltage, high-performance Hall-effect unipolar family with operating voltages of 3 V to 28 V over the extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.
With chopper stabilized architecture and an internal bandgap regulator to provide temperature compensated supply for internal circuits, the AH337x and AH338x product family provide a reliable solution over the whole operating range. For robustness and protection, the device has a reverse blocking diode with a Zener clamp on the supply. The output has an overcurrent limit and a Zener clamp.
The AH337x has an open-drain output and the AH338x has an internal pull-up resistor output. Their outputs will be switched on when a south pole of sufficient strength (>Bop) comes within proximity of the device. Their outputs will turn off when the flux density (B) within proximity of the device falls below their release point (Brp). Their output remains switched off when subjected to north poles or no magnetic field.
The magnetic operating and release orientation is opposite for SOT23 compared to SC59 packages. SOT23 and SIP-3 packages require south pole to the part marking side to operate while SC59 requires south pole to the non-part marking side.
