Automotive-Compliant D-FLAT-Series of High-Voltage

Diodes Incorporated announces the introduction of an automotive-compliant, high-voltage rectifier series which is housed in the surface-mount “D-FLAT” package. This high-performance, flat-lead package is designed with wide creepage distance, which enables high-voltage rectification capability and enhances isolation between terminals to protect against tracking. Additionally, with a profile of a mere 1.1 mm maximum, the D- FLAT package is 54% thinner than the conventional SMA package.

This D-FLAT-series is comprised of seven high-voltage rectifiers, available in various combinations of voltage, current, and speed.

  • The RS1JDFQ device is a 600 V, 1 A fast recovery rectifier
  • The US1JDFQ/US2JDFQ devices are 600 V, 1 A / 2 A ultra-fast recovery rectifiers
  • The S2KDFQ device is an 800 V, 2 A standard recovery rectifier
  • The S1MDFQ device is a 1,000 V, 1 A standard recovery rectifier
  • The RS1MDFQ device is a 1,000 V, 1 A fast recovery rectifier
  • The US1MDFQ device is a 1,000 V, 1 A ultra-fast recovery rectifier

These devices are suitable for reverse protection and blocking applications. In addition, the fast and the ultra-fast recovery products are also suitable for switching applications, due to their very-fast reverse recovery time characteristics.

    • The flat-lead design of the D-FLAT package (5.6 mm x 2.95 mm x 1.10 mm (max.)) improves the thermal performance of the automotive subsystems and enables lower profile applications

    • With high reverse breakdown voltage and output current, these glass-passivated rectifiers are ideally suited for high-power automotive applications
  • High forward surge current capability and low-leakage current
    • The high forward surge overload rating ensures more rugged applications and improves device reliability. Energy efficiency is improved with a low-leakage current of just 5 µA (max.)
