MAX17681 Isolated Buck Evaluation Kits

Wurth Electronics Midcom's MID-IBMAX industrial Maxim iso-buck transformers for DC/DC isolated power supplies are designed for use in Maxim Integrated MAX17681 evaluation kits.

The MAX17681 evaluation kit is a fully assembled and tested circuit board that demonstrates the performance of the MAX17681. The MAX17681 is a high-voltage, high-efficiency, isolated buck DC-DC converter. It provides isolated power up to 3 W and operates over a wide 4.5 V to 42 V input.

The evaluation kit operates over an input voltage range of 17 V to 32 V and uses primary-side feedback to regulate the output voltage. The evaluation kit has two output configurations. In the first configuration, the output is programmed to ±15 V at 100 mA with ±10% output-voltage regulation. In the second configuration, a post regulator is used (MAX17651) to produce ±12 V at 50 mA with less than ±3% regulation.

The evaluation kit comes installed with the MAX17681 and MAX17651, and each evaluation kit features a different Wurth transformer for easy development. The Wurth transformer has key characteristics that include a self-shielding package, wide VIN , isolation voltage to 1500 VAC , industrial operating temperatures, and has no optocoupler for feedback. These transformers will reduce the number of components and come in a small form-factor for easy pick-and-place instillation.
