TLP577x Optocouplers

Toshiba has launched the TLP577x series optocoupler. Designers can drive low to medium IGBTs and MOSFETs directly from microcontrollers by using this new series of optocoupler. The thin SO6L stretch package (10 mm x 3.84 mm x 2.1 mm) also allows it to be mounted on the backside of a PCB, freeing space on the topside for other greater height components. The threshold input current is only 2 mA (maximum), which is 50% less than Toshiba's conventional products. Other excellent features include 10 V (minimum) operation, which is ideal for driving MOSFETs, and rail-to-rail output. This new optocoupler series gives lower power consumption, which results in higher system efficiency. The TLP5771, TLP5772, and TLP5774 are gate driver optocouplers available in respective peak output current of 1 A, 2.5 A, and 4 A.

Features
  • Low threshold input current: IFLH = 2 mA (max)
  • Low operating supply voltage: VCC = 10 V (min)
  • Loss is reduced with a rail-to-rail output
  • Integrated GaAℓAs infrared LED excels in lifetime characteristic
  • High operating temperature rating: Topr max = 110°C
  • Thin SO6L package: height = 2.3 mm (max)
  • Wide creepage SO6L package: 8 mm (min)
  • Peak output current:
    • IOP = ± 1.0 A (TLP5771)
    • IOP = ± 2.5 A (TLP5772)
    • IOP = ± 4.0 A (TLP5774)
