RTAN Series Resistors

The RTAN series from Stackpole is an AEC-Q200 qualified series of precision thin film chip resistors. The tantalum nitride resistive film forms a moisture impervious tantalum pentoxide barrier layer in the presence of moisture which protects the resistive element itself. The RTAN will pass thousands of hours under 85°C , 85% relative humidity, and 10% rated power test conditions with very little resistance shift. In addition, Stackpole’s materials and design enhance the anti-moisture performance and makes the RTAN highly resistant to sulfur contamination. Under industry standard sulfur testing (per ASTM B809-95 humid vapor testing), the RTAN chip resistors show minimal resistance shifts after over 700 hours.
