The VOR family of SSRs from Vishay have a very-low activation current which makes these devices ideal for embedded applications where it is desirable to drive relays directly from microcontrollers, minimizing component count, cost, and maximizing reliability. The fast switching speed allows the VOR solid-state relays to switch signals whose operational frequencies are beyond the scope of mechanical relays such as instrumentation signal routing and data communications.
