AS72xx Smart Daylighting Managers and Directors

ams' AS7211 is a networking-enabled smart lighting manager with an embedded, digital ambient light sensor (ALS). This provides single-device, closed-loop, and automatic adjustment of the brightness of florescent and LED lamps and luminaires to maintain constant lux in response to available daylight. The AS7211 allows simplified, single-device integration, delivering closed-loop and automatic adjustment of the brightness of LED and florescent luminaires and replacement lamps to maintain constant lux in response to available daylight. The photopic response of the AS7211s ALS, combined with an embedded infra-red (IR) blocking filter, results in highly accurate lux readings even in the presence of high-IR sources, such as sunlight or nearby incandescent fixtures. With integrated sensing and control, the AS7211 delivers single-device, closed-loop and automatic adjustment of the brightness of LED and dimmable fluorescent luminaires to maintain constant lux in response to available daylight.

The AS7221 is a Cognitive Lighting™ family of products which enable lights to be “aware”, adapting to their surroundings to autonomously manage lighting to meet esthetic, quality, and energy-efficiency needs. This network-enabled smart lighting manager incorporates an embedded, digital, tri-stimulus, true color, nano-optic sensor, providing direct CIE1931 XYZ and CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate mapping for closed-loop, autonomous adjustment of variable CCT and spectrally tunable LED lamps and luminaires.

The AS7225 IoT smart lighting director (SLD) incorporates an embedded, digital, tri-stimulus, chromatic, ”calibrated for life”, nano-optic sensor providing direct CIE1931 XYZ and CIE 1976 u’v’ coordinate mapping. The AS7225 white tunable director is optimized for both color and daylight. This director is ideal for customers who already have a network or control-integrated microcontroller (MCU). Adaptive algorithmic support enables a companion microprocessor to implement closed-loop, autonomous adjustment of variable CCT and daylight responsive LED lamps and luminaires. With the smart lighting director the user has true tune to target control.
