Melexis' MLX92292 is a 3-wire Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) B supported latch and switch in a small TSOT-3 or 3-SIP packages. With a 3.3 V to 18 V voltage range and a -40°C to +150°C operational range, these switches are ideal for automotive, health, and industrial applications. These devices have a high ESD sensitivity rating of 8 kV (HBM) and 1000 V (CDM).

The MLX92292 has two standard options of either orthogonal sensitivity or lateral sensitivity. The benefits of lateral sensitivity being that there is potential to use once device to replace multiple devices to save board space and reduce bill-of-materials costs. With Melexis’ programmer (PTC-04-ND) and daughter board (PTC04-DB-922XX), these devices can be programmed with settings of both magnetic operating points to small increments across a range spanning -90 mT to +90 mT (-40 mT to +40 mT for lateral sensing versions).
