RECOM’s R1SX series 1 W DC/DC converters have nearly 20% lower profile than the industry standard due to their unique inverted transformer design. These open-frame SMD converters leverage fully automated manufacturing techniques to deliver stable performance and constant quality at a very competitive price. The modules are available with 3.3 V or 5 V inputs and offer a single unregulated 3.3 V or 5 V output. There is no minimum load required and the quiescent consumption is less than 150 mW.

The converters can drive high capacitive loads up to 2200 µF, which is 40 times higher than the competition. Isolation is 1 kV_DC or 3 kV_DC (/H option) which makes them an ideal solution for isolating data transfer lines in industrial communication protocols (e.g. CAN bus). The converters operate at a wide temperature range from -40°C to +100°C without derating and have industry standard pinouts.

The series is fully certified to IEC/UL/EN62368-1 and UL60950-1. Class A EMC compliance can be reached without external inductors; Class B EMC compliance requires a single inductor.
