SiT1532 Ultra-Small 32 kHz Oscillators

SiTime's SiT1532 series of MEMs oscillators are the world's smallest, lowest power 32 kHz oscillator optimized for mobile and wearable electronics such as handsets, tablets, activity trackers, smart watches, GPS modules, and Internet of Things (IoT). Unlike XTALs, the SiT1532 oscillator output enables greater component placement flexibility and eliminates external load capacitors, thus saving additional component count and board space. And unlike standard oscillators, the SiT1532 features Nano Drive™, a factory programmable output that reduces the voltage swing to minimize power. In addition to eliminating external output load capacitors common with standard XTALs, the SiT1532 includes special internal power supply filtering and thus, eliminates the need for an external VDD bypass-decoupling capacitor. SiTime's silicon MEMS technology enables the smallest footprint and chip-scale packaging. This device reduces the 32 kHz footprint by as much as 85% compared to existing 2.0 mm x 1.2 mm SMD XTAL packages.
