ADI’s ADAQ7980 and ADAQ7988 are 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) μModule data acquisition systems that integrate four common signal processing and conditioning blocks into a system in package (SiP) design that supports a variety of applications. These modules integrate the ADC, an ADC driver, a reference buffer, an efficient power block, and critical passive components into a compact 5 mm × 4 mm LGA package. This level of system integration eliminates many data acquisition design challenges, reduces board area, and improves time to market over typical solutions. The ADAQ7980 and ADAQ7988 digital interfaces are compatible with 1.8 V to 5 V logic levels and are specified over a temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. They are ideal for automated test equipment, battery-powered instrumentation, communications, process control, and medical instruments.
