TT Series TCXOs

Taitien introduces the TT type, ultra-high performance, temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO). Leveraging Taitien’s long history of making high-performance TCXOs, and expertise in end-to-end fabrication of high-precision quartz crystals, the TT type is capable of providing ultra-tight frequency stability of +0.10 ppm over -20°C to +70°C and +0.20 ppm over -40°C to +85°C in a 7 mm x 5 mm SMD ceramic package with excellent phase noise performance.

With supply voltage options of 3.3 V or 5.0 V, the TT series is available in output frequencies ranging from 5 MHz to 52 MHz and with either CMOS or clipped-sine wave output. The improvement in overall product design enables the TT type to minimize the effects on frequency stability generated by loading and power supply variation. At 3.3 V with 5% voltage variation, the resulting frequency offset on the TCXO is < +0.05 ppm. At the same time, phase noise performance is markedly improved as the TT series can achieve -130 dBc/Hz @ 100 Hz offset and in 10 MHz with CMOS output. Additionally, compliant with Belcore standards of GR-253 and GR-1244, the TT series can achieve the stratum 3 overall frequency stability requirement of +4.6 ppm for 20 years and 24-hour holdover performance of +0.32 ppm over industrial temperature range. These features make the TT TCXOs the optimal solution as reference clocks in wide variety of communication systems.

The TT type is ideally suited for applications demanding high-precision timing requirements such as cellular base stations, test instruments, wireless backhaul and core network equipment. The TT can deliver the tight frequency stability which previously could only be achieved by OCXOs. At the same time, the TT series provides the performance with much lower power consumption and does so in a miniaturized form. Therefore, the TT series is an excellent choice for next-generation telecommunication designs.
