The global trend for the miniaturization of power supply devices has driven FERROXCUBE to develop the 3F46 material with outstanding performance in the 1 MHz to 3 MHz range. Gaining higher power output from a ferrite transformer can be reached either by using a larger core or by an increase of the operating frequency. Moving from the kHz region to MHz with 3F46 leads to a significant size reduction of the transformer.
