Murata's IRS-B series is currently Murata’s smallest and thinnest surface mount pyroelectric infrared sensor with 20% less volume and 50% less thickness than other common lead-type models. It contributes to promoting mass production and price reduction of reflow surface mount type sensors. In addition to allowing equipment size reduction, it accelerates the introduction of the human presence sensor for consumer equipment.
