LTC7150, 20 V, 20 A, Buck (Step-Down) Regulators

Linear Technology’s LTC7150 is a monolithic synchronous buck regulator that can provide a 20 A load. It uses a phase lockable controlled on-time constant frequency, current mode architecture. PolyPhase® operation allows multiple LTC7150S regulators to run out-of-phase, which reduces the number of input and output capacitors required. The operating supply voltage range is from 3.1 V to 20 V. The high frequency capability allows the use of physically smaller inductor and capacitor sizes. For switching noise sensitive applications, the regulator can be externally synchronized from 400 kHz to 3 MHz. The PHMODE pin allows the user control of the phase of the outgoing clock signal. This regulator has a -40°C to +125°C (TJ) temperature range and comes in a 42-pin BGA package. The LTC7150 is ideal for large power hungry applications such as point-of-load, power distribution, and server power designs.
