LTM2886/LTM2887 Digital μModule® Isolators

The Linear Technology LTM2886 and LTM2887 are complete galvanic digital μModule isolators. No external components are required. A single 3.3 V or 5 V supply powers both sides of the interface through an integrated, isolated DC/DC converter. A logic supply pin allows easy interfacing with different logic levels from 1.62 V to 5.5 V, independent of the main supply. Available options are compliant with SPI and I2C specifications. The isolated side includes fixed ±5 V and 5 V adjustable power supplies, each capable of providing more than 100 mA of load current. The 5 V adjustable supply may be programmed via an external voltage divider.

Coupled inductors and an isolation power transformer provide 2500 VRMS of isolation between the input and output logic interface. These isolators come in a 32-BBGA package with a range of temperature options: 0°C ~ +70°C, -40°C ~ +85°C, and -40°C ~ +125°C. The LTM2886 and LTM2887 were designed for test, measurement and isolation required applications.
