ST Microelectronics offers the ST25R NFC high performance readers with unique features such as automatic antenna tuning, capacitive and inductive wake up, very high and dynamic output power, and high sensitivity. It communicates with the ST25D dynamic NFC and RFID tags accessible either by RF or I2C bus, capable of fast transfer mode and energy harvesting.
ST25R: High Performance HF Reader/NFC Initiator From ST25 Family
The ST25R3911B is a highly integrated NFC initiator/HF reader IC, including the analog front end (AFE) and a highly integrated data framing system for ISO 18092 (NFCIP-1) initiator, ISO 18092 (NFCIP-1) active target, ISO 14443A and B reader (including high bit rates), ISO 15693 reader and FeliCa™ reader. Implementation of other standard and custom protocols like MIFARE™ Classic is possible using the AFE and implementing framing in the external microcontroller (stream and transparent modes). The ST25R3911B is positioned perfectly for the infrastructure side of the NFC system, where users need optimal RF performance and flexibility combined with low power.
ST25DV: ST25 Dynamic NFC and RFID Tags IC - ISO15693 and NFC Forum Type 5 Compliant
The ST25DV series of dynamic NFC/RFID tags offers a 13.56 MHz long-range interface compatible with NFC phones and readers. Based on an ISO/IEC 15693 and NFC Forum Type 5 tag, ST25DV tag ICs can be operated from an RFID reader or an NFC phone. They also include an I2C interface that lets them connect to a host (MCU, MPU, etc.). These tags feature an innovative fast transfer mode between an embedded host and an NFC phone or reader thanks to their half-duplex 256-byte buffer. ST25DV dynamic NFC/RFID tags can be used in a wide variety of applications including consumer electronics, industrial, metering, electronic shelf labels, IoT objects and more.
