TSL45315 Digital Ambient Light Sensor

ams’ TSL45315 is a digital output ambient light sensor that mirrors human eye response to various lighting conditions. This sensor has three selectable integration times and provide a direct 16-bit lux output via an I2C bus interface.

The devices come in a small 2 mm x 2 mm chipLED package that takes a 2.5 V input. This sensor uses a very low active current rate of 100 µA (typical) and a 2.2 µA (typical) in power down mode. The operational temperature range is from -15°C to +70°C. This TSL45315 was designed for smart lighting such as outdoor lights, traffic signals and billboards as well for use in home, industrial and commercial applications. The TSL45315 can also be used in solid state and general lighting for automatic control and daylight harvesting to maximize energy conservation.
