Asahi Kasei Microdevices Corporation’s (AKM) AK09970 is a 3-axis magnetic sensor integrated circuit utilizing AKM’s latest Hall sensor technology which offers high sensitivity and a wide measurement range. The sensor is able to detect magnetic signals in X, Y, and Z directions and can output the result as a digital data supporting I2C and SPI communication. The product offers a wide measurement range and high resolution in an ultra-small package of a 16-WFQFN package that includes the chopper stabilized signal, amplifier chain, and all necessary interface logic for detecting magnetic fields.
Features |
|
|
- Magnetic field output (digital)/data ready alert (DRDY bit)
- Measures magnetic field on all 3-axis via intermittent drive and outputs the result as digital data
- Magnetic event interrupt function
- Magnetic event interrupt pins allow for two thresholds that can be programmed for each axis
- Magnetic fields that exceeds the threshold, it outputs a "magnetic event" interrupt to registers
|
|
- High sensitivity setting/wide range setting
- High sensitivity setting of ±36 mT on 3-axis
- Ability to measure a wide range of magnetic fields from µT to mT
- Wide range setting of 101 mT can be achieved via the Z-axis
- Low power consumption when battery life is critical
