LT1962 300 mA Low Dropout (LDO) Regulator

LTC’s LT1962 series are low noise, LDO regulators capable of supplying 300 mA of output current with a dropout voltage of 270 mV. The parts come in fixed output voltages of 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3 V, 3.3 V, and 5 V, and as adjustable devices with a 1.22 V reference voltage. A key feature of the regulators is low output noise. With the addition of an external 0.01 µF bypass capacitor, output noise drops to 20 µVRMS over a 10 Hz to 100 kHz bandwidth. These regulators are stable with output capacitors as low as 3.3 µF. Small ceramic capacitors can be used without the series resistance required by other regulators. Additional features include internal protection circuitry, reverse battery protection, current limiting, thermal limiting, and reverse current protection. These regulators come in 8-TSSOP/8-MSOP package with a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The LT1962 is ideal for smartphones/cell phones, handheld battery-powered systems, tablets, and noise sensitive applications.
