The Diodes Incorporated APR346 is a small footprint, high-performance, cost-effective synchronous rectification solution for 5 V to 20 V power converters in portable, consumer, and home automation applications. The APR346 is a secondary side MOSFET driver for synchronous rectification in offline flyback power supplies. Packaged in the small SOT26 package and requiring only four external components, it senses the external MOSFET's drain-to-source voltage and drives the MOSFET, reducing the voltage drop and system power dissipation. The APR346 supports CCM, DCM, and quasi-resonant mode in flyback topologies. The APR346 provides the smallest footprint, high-performance solution for 5 V to 20 V output voltage applications at a very competitive BOM cost.
