STMicroelectronics’ ST25DV02K-W1/W2 series of dynamic NFC/RFID tags are ISO/IEC 15693 NFC Forum type 5 devices with pulse width modulation (PWM) outputs controlled by contactless interface. They support all ISO/IEC 15693 modulations, coding, sub-carrier modes, and data rates. This series of ICs offers a 13.56 MHz long-range interface compatible with NFC phones and readers. The PWM output can be programmed independently and securely, allowing a large field of application. The IC provides a live update of PWM parameters by contactless interface, extending the user experience. ST25DV02K-W1 offers one PWM output while ST25DV02K-W2 offers two PWM outputs. The devices offer data protection of up to four independent areas, including the PWM control area, with flexible protection mechanism based on 32-/64-bit passwords.
