BC-2003-G-TR Gold-Plated Lithium Battery Retainer

MPD's BC-2003-G-TR lithium battery retainer has large SMD leads to solder and is made of nickel-plated phosphor bronze covered with gold flash. Its bifurcated contacts are optimized to keep a tight connection with the battery and have low electrical resistance. Shock and vibration resistance per EIA-364 assures designers of trouble-free use in coin cell applications. Phosphor bronze has superb spring qualities including good elasticity, high fatigue, corrosion resistance, wide temperature range, and nonmagnetic composition.

In this design, cells are easily changed without tools or instructions, and the narrow width contributes to the ease of removal. It is compact in size at 25.4 mm length by 9.5 mm width and under 3.6 mm high. These retainers offer a narrower width than other competing designs and a very low acquisition cost. This makes it particularly suitable for consumer products, single-use devices, RFID, Bluetooth®, and other price-sensitive outdoor applications.

Typical lithium coin cells used in the BC-2003-G-TR retainer include the ever-popular CR2032 cells as well as BR2032 and DL2032 batteries. Rechargeable types include ML2032, VL2032, and LIR2032 batteries. The BC-2003-G-TR also accepts other types of batteries with a height of 3.2 mm.
