Marutsu's motor driver evaluation boards utilizing Toshiba stepping motor drivers enable users to speed up their development cycles in motor control designs.
Toshiba stepping motor drivers incorporate unique technologies that improve motor drive performance and achieve package size reduction by suppressing internal heat generation. The new generation evaluation boards (TB67S249FTG, TB67S279FTG, and TB67S289FTG) feature state-of-the-art triple-A motor control technologies. The first one, Active Gain Control (AGC) technology, improves stepper motor drive efficiency and reduces heat generation; the second one, Advanced Dynamic Mixed Decay (ADMD) technology, improves constant current control performance; and the third one, Advanced Current Detection System (ACDS) technology, eliminates the external current sense resistors. AGC technology dynamically boosts the current needed to overcome high torque conditions without stalling. It resumes current to the nominal level at light torque conditions without wasting power in peak current, a problem in conventional solutions. AGC technology allows drivers to reduce power consumption by about 40% when compared with conventional products, particularly at light load conditions.
In addition to these triple-A technology boards, Marutsu also released many conventional stepper motor driver boards that offer ease-of-use, safety-centric, or cost optimized trade-offs using a broad range of Toshiba stepper motor drivers.
