The Stackpole ZV series is surface-mount multilayer varistor technology designed to protect board-level components from transient events in the lower voltage region. The ZV is designed for excellent energy absorption of up to 12.2 J and low power dissipation due to low leakage current. The ZV offers operating voltages up to 130 VRMS and 170 VDC. The low capacitance of the ZV series yields a response time of typically less than 2 ns.
