AP8803 Buck LED Driver: The Diodes Inc. AP8803 3W step-down DC/DC converter is designed to drive LEDs with a constant current. The Diodes Inc. AP8803 LED driver can drive up to 7 LEDs, depending on the forward voltage of the LEDs, in series from a voltage source to 8V to 30V. Series connection of the LEDs provides identical LED currents resulting in uniform brightness and eliminating the need for ballast resistors. The Diodes Inc. AP8803 switches at frequency up to 700kHz. This allows the use of small size external components, minimizing the PCB area needed.

AP880xx LED Drivers: The Diodes Inc. AP880xx LED driver IC family significantly reduces the number and size of external components required by drive circuits. These Diodes Inc. step-down DC-DC converter LED drivers require only four smaller and lower cost inductors or capacitors. The AP880xx LED driver family ensures uniform LED brightness, eliminates the need for ballast resistors, and suits a broad range of high-brightness, general illumination duties, including signage, architectural and emergency lighting, and MR16 lamp replacement. Diodes Inc. AP880xx LED driver ICs drive up to 13 series-connected LEDs with a constant current, from voltage sources between 8V and 48V, with efficiencies up to 92%.
