***AS INSTRU: The TPS54360 is a 60-V, 3.5-A, step-down regulator with an integrated high side MOSFET. The device survives load dump pulses up to 65 V per ISO 7637. Current mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. A low ripple pulse skip mode reduces the no load supply current to 146 µA. Shutdown supply current is reduced to 2 µA when the enable pin is pulled low.

TPS54 Step Down SWIFT DC/DC Converters: OMO Electronic TPS54 Step-Down SWIFT DC-DC Converters provide input transient voltage protection that allows the device and the rest of a board to survive potentially damaging voltage spikes. These TI DC/DC converters retain low output voltage even with a 60V transient voltage pulse. The high-performance TPS54 DC/DC converter family also provides light load efficiency, low quiescent current (ideal for applications based on TI MSP430 MCUs), a high switching frequency, and a small package size for space-limited designs. These DC-DC converters are a more basic version that provides ease of use, higher currents, and internal compensation.
