1A Low Quiescent Current Voltage Regulator: STMicroelectronics 1A Low Quiescent Current Low Noise Voltage Regulator provides 1A maximum current from an input voltage ranging from 1.5V to 5.5V with a typical dropout voltage of 200mV. The device is stable due to the use of ceramic capacitors on the input and output. The ultra low drop-voltage, low quiescent current, and low noise features make it suitable for low power battery-powered applications. Power supply rejection is 65dB at low frequencies and starts to roll off at 10kHz. An enable logic control function puts the device in shutdown mode, allowing a total current consumption lower than 1μA. The STMicroelectronics 1A Low Quiescent Current Low Noise Voltage Regulator also includes short-circuit constant current limiting and thermal protection. Typical applications are printers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), cordless phones, and consumer applications.

LD39100 Low-Noise Voltage Regulators: STMicroelectronics LD39100 Low-Noise Voltage Regulators provide 1A of maximum current with a 1.5-5.5V input voltage range and a 200mV typical dropout voltage. The device features ceramic capacitors on the input and output, ultralow dropout voltage, low quiescent current and low-noise. These features make the LD39100 suitable for low power battery-powered applications. Power supply rejection is 70dB at low frequency and starts to roll off at 10kHz. Enable logic control function puts the LD39100 in shutdown mode, allowing a total current consumption lower than 1μA. The device also includes short-circuit constant current limiting and thermal protection. LD39100 is also available in an AEC-Q100 qualified version, in the DFN6 (3x3mm) with wettable flank package.

These ultralow LDOs simplify the design of high-efficiency, cost-effective linear power management (from 50mA to 3A of continuous load current). This makes them ideal for DSPs, MCUs, and FPGAs.
