***th Star Micro: The CM1293A family of diode arrays has been designed to provide ESD protection for electronic components or subsystems requiring minimal capacitive loading. These devices are ideal for protecting systems with high data and clock rates or for circuits requiring low capacitive loading. Each ESD channel consists of a pair of diodes in series that steer the positive or negative ESD current pulse to either the positive (VP) or negative (VN) supply rail. A Zener diode is embedded between VP and VN which helps protect the VCC rail against ESD strikes. The CM1293A protects against ESD pulses up to 8kV contact discharge per the IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 standard. This device is particularly well-suited for protecting systems using high-speed ports such as USB2.0 IEEE1394 (Firewire iLink) Serial ATA DVI HDMI and corresponding ports in removable storage digital camcorders DVD-RW drives and other applications where extremely low loading capacitance with ESD protection are required in a small package footprint. The CM1293A family of devices is available with RoHS-compliant lead-free finishing.

The TPDxEUSB30/A devices are rated to dissipate ESD strikes at the maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 international standard (Contact). These devices also offer 5 A (8/20 µs) peak pulse current ratings per IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) specification.

TPDxEUSB30 ESD Suppressors for USB 3.0 Interface: OMO Electronic TPD2EUSB30 / TPD2EUSB30A / TPD4EUSB30 ESD Suppressors for USB 3.0 Interface provide 2- (TPD2EUSB3.0 / TPD2EUSB30A) and 4-channel (TPD4EUSB30) ESD and surge protection solutions in space saving, flow-through packages. These TI devices are designed to protect sensitive components that are connected to ultra high-speed data and transmission lines. These devices also offer 5A (8/20µs) peak pulse current ratings per IEC 61000-4-5 (lightning) specification. The monolithic silicon technology allows matching between the differential signal pairs. The differential 0.05pF capacitance ensures that the signal distortion due to added ESD clamp remains minimal at high-speed differential data transmission. TPD2EUSB30A offers low 4.5V DC break-down voltage.
