AL16937 Buck Dimmable LED Driver: Diodes Inc. AL16937 Buck Dimmable LED Driver is developed for triac dimmable LED lamp applications. In these applications, the AL16937 driver provides high-performance, high-power factor, high-efficiency, and high-current precision. The buck topology supplies an accurate output current over wide line and load regulation. The AL16937 uses boundary conduction mode (BCM) to meet regulatory standards. BCM provides high conversion efficiency for the wide switching frequency and reduces EMI design issues. The driver is suitable for 120VAC applications through the integrated 400V/3A MOSFET. A built-in thermal fold-back protection trigger point automatically reduces the device’s output current. The dimming curve of the AL16937 is compliant with NEMA SSL6 standards. Housed in an SO-7 package, the AL16937 driver provides deep dimming down to 1%. This dimmer is compatible with leading edge and trailing edge dimmers supporting a wide dimming range.Learn More
