TheRS9110N1121modulefromRedpine'sConnection™familyofproductsisacompleteIEEE
802.11bgnWiFiclientdevicewithastandardserialorSPIinterfacetoahostprocessorordatasource.
ItintegratesaMAC,Basebandprocessor,RFtransceiverwithpoweramplifier,afrequencyreference,
anantenna,andallWLANprotocolandconfigurationfunctionalityinembeddedfirmwaretoprovidea
selfcontained802.11nWLANsolutionforavarietyofapplications.NoWLANdriverfunctionalityis
requiredonthehostprocessor.BasedontheRedpineSignalsRS9110SoCwhichincludesanembedded
processor,itisdesignedtoprovidestandardscompliantwirelessconnectivitytodevicesandsystems
thathaveaserialportandimplementaTCP/IPstack.Asawirelessserialmodem,theRS9110N1121
handlesSLIPpacketsandacceptsATcommandsforconfiguration, enablingavarietyofM2M
applicationsatlowcostandsmallfootprint.Ituniquelyprovidesconnectivityinthesinglestream
802.11nmode,preservingoverallnetworkthroughputintheemergingenterpriseenvironments.
