Bluetooth R232 Serial Adapter
Roving Networks, a leading developer of wireless
intelligent network appliances, introduces the
BluePort XP Bluetooth serial adapter. This device
gives any RS232 serial port Bluetooth
connectivity.
No Bluetooth Drivers Required
Not much larger than a business card, the
BluePort XP attaches to a standard RS232 serial
port via the male DB9 connector. No software
configuration is needed, just plug it in, connect to
the Bluetooth enabled terminal and start
transferring data.
Flexible Connection Modes

Slave Mode- Bluetooth clients, such as
Palm/Pocket PC PDA’s, laptops, scanners,
cellphones directly connect to BluePort XP via
Bluetooth Serial Port Profile, creating a Virtual
COM port on the client.
• Instant Cable -matched pair of BluePort-XPs
link to each other for a wireless cable
replacement
• Terminal Server- BluePort-XP is automatically
found and connected to from a Bluetooth LAN
access point. The application makes a socket or
telnet connection and data can be transferred
over LAN and the Internet.
