introduces its newest series of “Con-X” product, the Field Installable Shielded
Multi-Con-X
®
. This product was designed for field installations where:
• Circuits must be protected from electromagnetic or radio frequency interference
•
Surrounding equipment must be protected from circuit emmittance
• An earth ground must be carried via the cable shield through the
connector shell, coupling ring, and receptacle to ground (panel).
The Field Installable Shielded Multi-Con-X
®
offers a simple, unique method of completing
the shield between the cable and the connector housing (requiring no additional or special
installation tools). The backshell can be assembled with nothing more than a screwdriver.

• 6 keyway orientations available
• 2 - 9 pole insert configurations with 20 size contacts available in 4 keying arrangements
• 2 - 12 pole insert configurations with 20 size contacts available in 1 keying arrangement
• 2 - 4 pole insert configurations with 16 size contacts available in 1 keying arrangement
• Panel Mounts are available with male contacts only (solder or P.C. Tail termination)
•
Cable Ends are available with female contacts only (solder termination)
• Not mateable with standard (unshielded) Multi-Con-X
®
product
• Panel Mounts are available with a metal or plastic housing
