ZL9024M Digital DC-DC PMBus 33A Module: Renesas / Intersil ZL9024M Digital DC-DC Module is designed as a highly integrated, PMBus enabled, 33A step-down DC-DC power supply module. The module includes a high-performance digital PWM controller, synchronous power switches, an inductor, and all the passive components required for a complete, DC-DC power supply. This patented, thermally enhanced HDA module can dissipate heat directly into the PCB. The capability enables the ZL9024M to deliver up to 33A of continuous output current without requiring airflow or a heatsink. Thanks to this highly integrated design, only bulk input and output capacitors are required to finish the power solution. The ZL9024M operates over a 2.75V to 4V input voltage range and supports an output voltage up to 1.5V. The output voltage can be precisely regulated as low as 0.6V with ±1.2% output voltage accuracy over line, load, and temperature variations using external resistors or the PMBus compliant I2C communication interface. In addition to the output voltage, external resistors can program the switching frequency and the device SMBus address. Designers can use ZL9024M's PMBus compliant I2C communication interface to program additional configurations including switching frequency, soft-start and fault limits. The PMBus also monitors current, temperatures, voltages, and fault status. Developed with ChargeMode™ control architecture, the ZL9024M responds to a transient load within a single switching cycle. Using the PowerNavigator™ software, the ZL9024M can configure modules for a specific solution. With a low profile of 17mm x 18mm x 3.5mm, the ZL9024M Step-Down DC-DC Power Supply Module is well-suited for industrial/ATE, networking equipment, as well as general-purpose power for ASIC, FPGA, DSP, and memory.Learn More
