1.7 ICSP™ Considerations
The following should be considered when the MCP201
is connected to pins supporting in-circuit programming:
• Power used for programming the microcontroller
should be supplied from the programmer, not from
the MCP201
• The MCP201 should be left unpowered
• The voltage on V
REG should not exceed the
maximum output voltage of V

• The TXD pin should not be brought high during
programming
