The CAN application layer over EtherCAT
®
(CoE) mailbox protocol is the basis of the Device Profile and enables parameter-
ization of EtherCAT
®
devices via the object dictionary. The object dictionary is accessed via CoE using Service Data Object
(SDO) services.
The objects implemented on the device are described in the “EtherCAT
®
object dictionary” section.

The device object dictionary contains objects which can be addressed via SDO services. The device supports standard ob-
jects and manufacturer-specific objects. The standard objects are described in ETG.1000.6 (Application Layer Protocol
Specification). The manufacturer-specific objects are listed below.
The objects are addressed using a combination of index and subindex. Subindex0 lists the number of subindices.
